Radius Around Point
You can use this tool to find the radius around a point on the map. First type in the radius required in kilometers or miles and then click on the map at the center of where you wish the circle to appear. You can then create as many radii as you wish.

- [Zoom and Pan to find the required area on the map then click on the map to draw a circle] OR [Type a location into the text box and click Draw Radius]

How do you print the map? How do you save it to send to others?
By Tina on 13/11/2009
Well- Lots of efford put into this
But it non productive as nothing else can be done to it - ie printing just the map or transfer of use

Hi. Due to the nature of these advertisements, we are unable to identify the advertisement you talk about without further information. Could you send us a screen shot of the advertisement(s)? We will then take steps to prevent this from happening. This type of reaction to advertisements is something that we wish to avoid.

PLEASE!! Can we have some advertising that does not embarrass us as parents and professionals. I would love to show my kids this tool and use this for my business, but the advertising is a bit disgusting. Then when you go to print, it has the same stuff on the page.

Two points at once would be great, thanks for this tool!

It would be useful to be able to have a list of postcodes for the radius selected

These are great tools. Just what I was looking for but need to be able to print or at least be able to see whole radius in detail for a screenshot.
On 09/11/2009
Would love to be able to print just the map.

"how about something like an (N) hour driving radius from a given location. Options would be number of hours.... the line would be irregular instead of a circle"
A drive time radius tool is what I was searching for. This is a Great idea.
On 30/10/2009
It would be nice to "search within the radius"
On 28/10/2009
This has been mentioned before but how about a tool that would show a driving radius so one could put in two hours and they would be given a disformed shape stretching out two hours by the roads in each direction.

you need to develop a toll that allows the user to print just the map and not all the advertising and header / footer clutter.
By Bob on 27/10/2009
This is the coolest thing. My only suggested improvement would be if you could cut and paste the map, or print just the map itself on one page. Otherwise, very well done.

This is the very best map tool on the Web. Excellent.
I was hoping you could show an area for distance from a point according to the roads rather than a straight line?
There are other similar requests for time taken to travel - either would be superb.
Thank you!

Is there an easy way of taking this an inserting it into a document rather than printing? You could quite easily get the url of the site to be included in the save file?
On 19/10/2009
to print the page you can go to in the very top right hand corner; the box that says bookmark, put your arrow over that box and a list of options comes down. then click on 'print' ... to avoid printing like 18 pages select on print pages 1 to 1. hope that helps.

This is great, thanks. But it'd be even greater if it supported overlapping radii. Maybe it's just my terrible browser (IE6), but when I click within an existing radius, it clears the circle (though leaves the center marker). Thanks.

This is great, would be handy if the co-ords in DMS or DM were displayed for each center point.
By malcolm on 08/10/2009
This is great, is there anyway to print out the names of the cities within this radius?
By Sandra Stewart, on 07/10/2009
HOw do you print the map you made?
By KB on 30/09/2009
how can i get the full code
On 30/09/2009
I've noticed that the tool works nicely, but the value entered isn't a radius, but a diameter. Either the math is off by a factor of 2, or you need to relabel the entry as diameter.
On 29/09/2009
Dan, could you contact us and provide the URL and the code?
By Free Map Tools on 28/09/2009
Have entered my Google Maps API Key, but the resulting code doesn't work embedded in a webpage, and when the image URL is pasted into an address bar I get a 400 Bad Request error, "Your client has issued a malformed or illegal request."
Any ideas?

I would like to be able to print the map without having to choose page 1...out of 24. Don't need to print all of the comments and suggestions with the map. Maybe there's a way and I don't know how.
By Marti on 26/09/2009
Works great! I would like to be able to supply a list of addresses, and have it draw a radius (e.g. 1 mile) around each of them.
By Jason on 24/09/2009
Excellent tool! I would like to know how can I save the map (to provide the option of editing it later). Great job! Thanks!
