About How Far is it Between
This tool calculates distance between two named places and displays both numeric output and map routes.
There are up to four distance outputs:
- As the Crow Flies - Direct distance between the two points.
- Distance by Vehicle (when available) - Estimated route distance by road and sea.
- Distance by Bike (optional) - Estimated bike route distance when selected.
- Distance by Walking (optional) - Estimated walking route distance when selected.
Distances can be shown in kilometers (km) or miles.
The map displays the selected route types using different route colors for quick comparison.
You can use the map controls to:
- Pan the map
- Zoom the map
- Switch between Map and Satellite views
